Overview
The New South Wales Parliamentary Liberal Party on Tuesday 9 August 2022 elected the Hon. Matt Kean MP as Deputy Leader.
The New South Wales Premier, Dominic Perrottet, announced further changes to his ministry on Wednesday 3 August 2022. Ministers David Elliott, Ben Franklin, Victor Dominello and Alister Henskens expanded their portfolio responsibilities from Friday 5 August 2022, following the resignations of former Minister for Enterprise, Minister for Tourism and Sport, Minister for Western Sydney and Deputy Leader of the NSW Parliamentary Liberal Party, Stuart Ayres, and the former Minister for Small Business and Minister for Fair Trading Eleni Petinos.
Reshuffle details
- The Hon. Matt Kean MP, Treasurer and Minister for Energy, was elected Deputy Leader of the NSW Parliamentary Liberal Party unopposed.
- The Hon. Alister Henskens SC MP, Minister for Skills and Training, the Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, and the Leader of the House in the Legislative Assembly added Enterprise, Investment and Trade and Sport to his portfolios.
- The Hon. Victor Dominello MP, Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government was also appointed Minister for Small Business and Minister for Fair Trading.
- The Hon. David Elliott MP, Minister for Transport and Minister for Veterans Affairs was also appointed Minister for Western Sydney.
- The Hon. Ben Franklin MLC, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Minister for the Arts, and Minister for Regional Youth was also appointed Minister for Tourism.

Treasurer of NSW, Minister for Energy and Deputy Leader of the NSW Liberal Party – The Hon. Matt Kean MP
The Hon. Matt Kean MP was elected Deputy Leader of the NSW Liberal Party unopposed on 9 August 2022, retaining his roles as Treasurer of NSW and Minister for Energy. First elected to NSW Parliament as the Liberal Member for Hornsby in 2011, Mr Kean previously served as Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation and Minister for Energy and the Environment in the Berejiklian Government.
Minister for Skills and Training, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade and Sport and Leader of the House in the Legislative Assembly – The Hon. Alister Henskens SC MP
The Hon. Alister Henskens SC MP was appointed as the Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade and Sport, retaining his roles as the Minister for Skills and Training, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology and Leader of the House in the Legislative Assembly. First elected to NSW Parliament as the Liberal Member for Ku-ring-gai in 2015, Mr Henskens previously served as Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services in the Berejiklian and Perrottet governments.
Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government, Minister for Small Business, and Minister for Fair Trading – The Hon. Victor Dominello MP
The Hon. Victor Dominello MP was appointed Minister for Small Business and Minister for Fair Trading, retaining his roles as Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government. Mr Dominello was first elected to NSW Parliament as the Member for Ryde in 2008. Victor was first appointed to the Ministry following the 2011 election and has since had an extensive ministerial career. Victor has served as Minister in various portfolios, including Finance, Services and Property, Innovation and Better Regulation, Veterans Affairs, Aboriginal Affairs and Minister for Citizenship and Communities.
Minister for Transport and Veterans Affairs, Minister for Western Sydney – The Hon. David Elliott MP
The Hon. David Elliott MP was appointed Minister for Western Sydney, retaining his roles as Minister for Transport and Minister for Veterans. Mr Elliott was first elected to Parliament in 2011 as the Liberal Member for Baulkham Hills. Mr Elliott has previously served as the Minister in the Veterans Affairs, Emergency Services, Corrections and Counter Terrorism portfolios and most recently as the Minister for Police and Emergency Services in the Baird, Berejiklian and Perrottet governments.
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Minister for the Arts, Minister for Regional Youth, Minister for Tourism – The Hon. Benjamin Franklin MLC
The Hon. Benjamin Franklin MLC was appointed Minister for Tourism, retaining his roles as Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Minister for the Arts, and Minister for Regional Youth. Following his entry into the NSW Legislative Council in March 2015, Franklin served as Deputy Government Whip in the Legislative Council during the Baird Government, and Parliamentary Secretary for Energy and the Arts, and Parliamentary Secretary for Renewable Energy and Northern NSW in the Berejiklian Government.
